The short version. The text you type into the generator never leaves your device — the conversion happens in your browser. There are no accounts, no forms and no uploads. Analytics do run: Google Analytics everywhere, and Microsoft Clarity — which records how pages are used — everywhere except the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, where it is switched off completely. This page explains exactly what each one sees and how to stop them.

What this site does not do

  • It never sends your text anywhere. Styling happens with JavaScript in your browser. There is no server to send it to: this is a static site with no database, no API and no accounts.
  • No sign-up, no login, no newsletter, no contact form. You can use every generator anonymously.
  • No ads and no affiliate links. Nothing on this site is paid placement, and no advertising network is loaded.
  • Nothing is sold or rented. Your data is not shared with anyone beyond the two providers named below.

What is collected

Two third-party tools are used on this site. Neither one can see the text you type into the generator, because that text is never transmitted. Google Analytics 4 loads on every page, everywhere. Microsoft Clarity does not load at all if you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland — the section below explains why and how that is decided.

ToolWhat it receivesWhy
Google Analytics 4
G-B8WNPS820E
Pages viewed, referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, device, browser and language, plus an event when you tap a Copy button recording which style you copied and on which page. It sets cookies in your browser. To see which generators people actually use, so the useful ones get improved and the rest get cut.
Microsoft Clarity
xdixxr2bb9
Nothing at all if you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland — there the script is never inserted, no Clarity cookie is set and no replay exists. Everywhere else: a replay of your visit — pointer movement, clicks, scrolling and the pages you moved through, plus the same Copy event. Clarity masks page text by default and that masking has not been switched off here. Where it does load, it sets cookies in your browser. To find where the interface confuses people — a button that gets clicked but does nothing, a layout that breaks on a phone.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the request itself — including your IP address — to deliver the page and to block attacks. That is a technical necessity of serving a website to you.

The embeddable widget is different. If you have put the /embed/ generator on your own site, it loads no analytics at all — neither of the tools above ships to your visitors.

There is no consent banner — so Clarity does not run in Europe

Tik Text still does not show a cookie or consent banner, and this page says so directly rather than implying a choice that is not being offered. Session recording is the thing that would need a banner, so instead of asking for a consent this site has no way to record, Microsoft Clarity was switched off for European visitors on 18 September 2026 and no longer loads there at all.

Clarity is not loaded for visitors in: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden (the EU), plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway (the rest of the EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

Which country you are in is decided by Cloudflare, the network that already has to see your IP address in order to send you this page. Nothing extra is stored to do it, and the check is deliberately cautious: if the lookup fails, or your country cannot be determined, Clarity is not loaded either.

Google Analytics 4 does still run everywhere, including in Europe. It is aggregate audience measurement rather than session replay, and the legal basis relied on is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — understanding how a free tool is used in order to keep it working — and, for hosting and security, the technical necessity of delivering the site. If you would rather not be counted at all, use any of the routes below; the generators keep working with every tracker blocked.

Your choices

  • Block them. Any content blocker (uBlock Origin, Brave's shields, Safari's tracking prevention, Firefox's strict mode) blocks both scripts. Nothing on this site depends on them.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics everywhere with Google's own browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Manage Microsoft's data at account.microsoft.com/privacy.
  • Clear the cookies for this site in your browser settings at any time. You will not be asked to set them again by any banner, because there is not one.
  • Object or ask for erasure by emailing contact@acevault.org.

Where the data goes, and for how long

Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC and Microsoft Clarity by Microsoft Corporation, both in the United States, so this data is transferred outside the EU. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland there is no Clarity data to transfer at all, because Clarity is never loaded there. Both companies are active participants in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which is the transfer mechanism relied on here; you can check their current status on the official list at dataprivacyframework.gov/list.

This site keeps no copy of any of it — there is no database here to keep it in. Retention is therefore whatever Google and Microsoft apply under their own policies; Google Analytics caps user-level data at 14 months. Their policies: Google · Microsoft.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, EEA or UK you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or port personal data relating to you, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to contact@acevault.org and it will be handled within one month.

Because the two tools above are not told who you are, a request will usually need the identifiers they do hold — realistically, that means using the opt-out and data-management links above, which reach the providers directly and act immediately. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Children

Tik Text is a general-audience text tool and is not directed at children. It asks for no personal information from anyone, of any age, and there is no account to create.

Who is responsible

Tik Text is operated by Paulo de Vries, in the Netherlands, who is the data controller for the processing described here. Questions, objections and erasure requests: contact@acevault.org.

Changes

If the tools on this site change, this page changes with them and the date at the top is updated. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the honest signal — check it if you want to know whether anything moved.
